Hornets open up season with overtime win over Bucks: Kemba Walker sends game into overtime: then hits game winner

Welcome to the 2014-2015 NBA season. Tonight's game was between the Charlotte Hornets ( and I still am used to calling them the Bobcats), and the Milwaukee Bucks. This game was an offensive explosion between the two teams. The Charlotte Hornets defeat the Milwaukee Bucks in overtime 108-106. Kemba Walker was huge hitting the game tying shot in regulation, then hitting the game winner with 5.1 seconds to go in overtime. Here are the top 5 scorers for each team.

Hornets Thoughts

1. Kemba Walker tonight while didn't shoot great, proves that he is clutch and to me worth his 4 year deal he got.   Kemba hitting the game tying shot to send it to overtime, and then hitting the game winner was impressive to me.  I think the Hornets are in for a great season.
2. Lance Stephenson only scored 7 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assists on 3 of 12 shooting in his Hornets debut. I think Stephenson will get better.  Near triple double numbers which is what I find incredible about Lance Stephenson.
3. Marvin Williams played solid with his 19 points.  Marvin Williams shot 66 percent tonight as a starter.  If he can do this, I don't see why he wouldn't remain the starter for the Hornets.
4. Al Jefferson with his double-double proves while he's great.  The signing of Big Al last year changed Charlotte's franchise. 
5. Michael Kidd- Gilchrist is not only proving he's a solid defender, but tonight he scored and shot well.  To me Gilchrist has an awkward shot, but if it makes you comfortable and gets the ball in the hole, then you shoot that way.  I think the Hornets are in for a great season.

Bucks Thoughts

1. Brandon Knight didn't shoot good, but he came close to a triple double. You've got to love that he had 13 assists.  Knight is not a great point guard, but he's a decent point guard.
2. Jabari Parker in his NBA debut only scored 8 points and added 4 rebounds. Jabari shot 3 of 9 from the field.  I think Jabari will get better the more he plays. I think either Jabari or Noel will win rookie of the year.
3. OJ Mayo was good with his 17 points off the bench.  If Mayo can have great shooting nights, he will keep the Bucks close in games or help them win.
4. The Greek Freak (Giannis Antetokounmpo)  only took 6 shots, but made 50 percent of them.  His 10 points and 5 boards proves that he will be a decent to great player.  
5. The Bucks blew a 24 point lead which is the most disappointing thing.  The Bucks should have won this game.
