Coming into the season, I thought the Hornets would be a playoff team. There was a possibly that if the Wizards didn't win the Southeast Division, that I would have picked the Hornets ( and I still almost want to call them the Bobcats). When they were 6-19, I started thinking why not stink up the joint, and try and land one of the top prospects in the 2015 NBA Draft. Coming into this game with a three game winning streak at 9-19, the Hornets took on the Milwaukee Bucks and defeated the Bucks 108-101, for their fourth straight victory. Kemba Walker lead the way for the Hornest with 27 points and 4 assists. Gerald Henderson added 20 points and 4 assists. Here are the stats for each team.

The Charlotte Hornets trail the Brooklyn Nets by 3 games for the 8th seed. I think that if this team can find a way to continue to put some wins together, they will catch Brooklyn. I thought Lance Stephenson would have fit in well here, but the problem I see now is both Kemba Walker and Lance Stephenson want the ball in their hands. What are your thoughts on this win? Talk to me about this 4 game winning streak by sending me your comments. Thank you for reading Pro Basketball Hoops Land. Have a wonderful holidays everyone.

Hornets open up season with overtime win over Bucks: Kemba Walker sends game into overtime: then hits game winner
Welcome to the 2014-2015 NBA season. Tonight's game was between the Charlotte Hornets ( and I still am used to calling them the Bobcats), and the Milwaukee Bucks. This game was an offensive explosion between the two teams. The Charlotte Hornets defeat the Milwaukee Bucks in overtime 108-106. Kemba Walker was huge hitting the game tying shot in regulation, then hitting the game winner with 5.1 seconds to go in overtime. Here are the top 5 scorers for each team.
Top 5 Charlotte Hornets Scorers
Kemba Walker- 26 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 9/26 FG, 5/11 FT, 3/4 3PTFG

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist- 17 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 blocks, 6/8 FG, 5/6FT
Al Jefferson- 14 points, 10 rebounds, 4 blocks, 2 assists, 2 steals, 6/15 FG, 2/3 FT
Cody Zeller- 11 points, 2 rebounds, 5/6 FG, 5/5 FT
Top 5 Milwaukee Bucks Scorers
Brandon Knight- 22 points, 13 assists, 8 rebounds, 5/17 FG, 10/10 FT, 2/4 3PTFG

Hornets Thoughts
- Kemba Walker tonight while didn't shoot great, proves that he is clutch and to me worth his 4 year deal he got. Kemba hitting the game tying shot to send it to overtime, and then hitting the game winner was impressive to me. I think the Hornets are in for a great season.
- Lance Stephenson only scored 7 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assists on 3 of 12 shooting in his Hornets debut. I think Stephenson will get better. Near triple double numbers which is what I find incredible about Lance Stephenson.
- Marvin Williams played solid with his 19 points. Marvin Williams shot 66 percent tonight as a starter. If he can do this, I don't see why he wouldn't remain the starter for the Hornets.
- Al Jefferson with his double-double proves while he's great. The signing of Big Al last year changed Charlotte's franchise.
- Michael Kidd- Gilchrist is not only proving he's a solid defender, but tonight he scored and shot well. To me Gilchrist has an awkward shot, but if it makes you comfortable and gets the ball in the hole, then you shoot that way. I think the Hornets are in for a great season.

Top 3 Players to target: Charlotte Hornets 9th pick and 24th pick
Thursday night is the 2014 NBA Draft on ESPN. The Charlotte Hornets (and I'm still thinking there the Bobcats), have the 9th pick and the 24th pick. I have a top 3 list with the 9th pick and a top 3 with the 24th pick, of players the Hornets should target.
Top 3 Players to target with the 9th pick:
Top 3 Players to target with the 24th pick
Top 3 Players to target with the 9th pick:
- Julius Randle- It's possible that Randle could still be on the board with the 9th pick. I think putting Randle next to Al Jefferson would be a steal for the Hornets. Randle could stretch the defense with his mid-range shooting. Randle can also provide rebounding on the glass. I don't know if Randle would be here with the 9th pick, but I believe it's possible. That is why Randle is my first choice.
- Aaron Gordon- A high energy athletic power forward would be incredible for the Hornets to have with the 9th pick. Gordon provides high energy and athleticism. If Randle is off the board then I believe you take Gordon. Gordon and Al Jefferson would be an incredible PF-C combination.
- Doug McDermott- Will McDermott score like he did in college? If McDermott can score like that then the Hornets should select McDermott. McDermott would give the Hornets a shooter who can space the floor, and knock down the three point shot. The only thing that bugs me about McDermott is his defense. Could McDermott be a 6th man, or even a decent starter? If the Hornets ran their offense through Al Jefferson, and teams were to double Big Al, McDermott could be open for some shots. I don't believe you take McDermott unless Randel and Gordon are off the board.
Top 3 Players to target with the 24th pick
- Shabazz Napier- Yes it's possible that Napier could be gone before this pick. If Napier isn't gone though, I believe you select him. Napier another U-Conn point guard who could be a solid to amazing backup for Hornets point guard Kemba Walker. Kemba Walker also plays at U-Conn. Napier would be incredible coming off the bench. If the Hornets decided to trade Kemba later, I believe Napier could be a starter.
- Jermani Grant- I'm high on Grant defense and athleticism. Grant could come off the bench or maybe even be in the lineup the same time as Michael Kidd Gilchrist, to throw some defense at Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony or Kevin Durant. Having two players to defend the best small forward who be an idea to try. What do you think?
- James Young- A shooting guard who could add more depth to the Charlotte Hornets bench. Young could become a great 6th man like Jamal Crawford. With Young being able to score in a variety of ways, it would add some scoring punch off the bench. Teams can always use some scoring off the bench, or to come into the game and start. I believe Young could do that.

Is Kemba Walker a top 10 point guard? Two players I believe are huge for Bobcats success: Bobcats get overtime win over Bulls behind Kemba Walker scoring 22
I am impressed with the play of the Charlotte Bobcats this season. Winning 43 games, and going to the playoffs for the second time in franchise history. I think a huge reason for the Bobcats success lies behind two players, Al Jefferson and Kemba Walker. Al Jefferson was a free agent center who was signed during the off-season for 5 years at 80 million. Big Al averaged 21.8 Points per game , 10.8 rebounds per game, and shot almost 51 percent for the season. I think the signing of Al Jefferson is a huge part of the Bobcats success. The other player I feel was a huge part of the reason the Charlotte Bobcats was successful was point guard Kemba Walker. I want to know do you think Kemba Walker is a top 10 point guard? Kemba averaged 17.7 points per game, 6.1 assists per game, 4.2 rebounds per game, 39 percent shooting (39.3) to be exact, and 33.3 percent from three point land. Kemba Walker the 9th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft out of Connecticut is to me at the worst a top 20 point guard. What do you think? The Charlotte Bobcats defeated the Chicago Bulls in overtime 91-86. Point guard Kemba Walker lead the way for the Bobcats with 22 points, 8 assists and 7 rebounds. Chris Douglas-Roberts scored 13 points. Two guard Gerald Henderson scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Center Al Jefferson added 10 points, 18 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks. The Charlotte Bobcats will play Eastern Conference 2 seed Miami Heat in the 2014 NBA Playoffs. How far do you believe the Bobcats will go in the playoffs? Find out tomorrow what my Eastern and Western Conference predictions are. For the Chicago Bulls, D.J. Augustin lead the way for Chicago with 17 points and 2 assists. Center and 3rd on my MVP vote Joakim Noah, scored 14 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 blocks. Power forward Carlos Boozer scored 14 points and pulled down 11 rebounds. Jimmy Butler scored 12 points, 5 steals, 4 assists and 4 rebounds. Mike Dunleavy scored 12 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks. Kirk Hinrich added 11 points and 6 assists. The Chicago Bulls are in the 4th seed in the Eastern Conference. The Bulls will play the 5th seed Washington Wizards. How far will the Bulls go in the playoffs? Send me your thoughts on this game or any other game. Thank you for reading Pro Basketball Hoops Land. I hope you enjoy the playoffs. Charlotte Bobcats fans I encourage you to purchase your Kemba Walker gear at the Kemba Walker store http://probasketballhoopsland.blogspot.com/p/kemba-walker-merchandise.html

Al Jefferson and Kemba Walker both achieve a double-double to lead Bobcats to win over Nets
I didn't think the Charlotte Bobcats were going to be a playoff team this year. I was figuring it was going to take at least one to two more years for that to happen. I have been extremly surprised at how they are playing this season. With ten games left to go for the season, unless they do a complete drop-off I see them making the playoffs. Last night the Charlotte Bobcats defeated the Brooklyn Nets 116-111. Al Jefferson and Kemba Walker had a double-double in the game. Big Al lead the way for the Bobcats with 35 points and 15 rebounds. Kemba Walker scored 20 points, 12 assists and 5 rebounds. I am starting to think that Kemba is becoming one of the top point guards in the NBA. Would you agree with me on that? Chris Douglas- Roberts added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. What did you think of this game? What do you think of the Charlotte Bobcats chances of making the playoffs? How far will they go in the 2014 NBA playoffs? Send me your comments on that. For the Brooklyn Nets, point guard Deron Williams lead the way with 29 points, 7 assists and 4 rebounds. Mirza Teletovic scored 22 points on 6 of 12 shooting from three point range. Joe Johnson added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. How far do you think the Brooklyn Nets will go in the 2014 NBA Playoffs? Do you think Brooklyn has enough to beat the Miami Heat, Indiana Pacers or Chicago Bulls? Send me your thoughts on this game or any other game. Thank you for reading Pro Basketball Hoops Land. If there is anything you want to see more or less of on the blog, send me a comment.

Three players score 20 plus points to lead Bobcats to win over Blazers
The signing of Al Jefferson during the off season was absolute brilliance by Michael Jordan. The Bobcats I feel are going to make the playoffs. They have three exciting players that few talk about because they aren't on a dominant team like the Heat or Thunder. The three I'm talking about are center Al Jefferson, point guard Kemba Walker and shooting guard Gerald Henderson. Walker is becoming a top 10-20 point guard in the NBA. The Charlotte Bobcats defeated the Portland Trailblazers 124-94. Three players for the Bobcats scored at least 20 points. Al Jefferson lead the way with 28 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 rebounds. Point guard out of the University of Connecticut Kemba Walker scored 26 points and 6 assists. Shooting guard Gerald Henderson scored 23 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and shot 8 of 11 from the field. Chris Douglas-Roberts added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. The Charlotte Bobcats improved to 34-36 with the win. Do you agree with me when I say I feel they are going to make the playoffs? How impressed are you with the Bobcats this season? I want to hear from you. I encourage you to send me your thoughts on this. For the Portland Trailblazers, All-Star point guard Damian Lillard lead the way with 20 points, 4 assists and shot 3 of 6 from three point land. Dorell Wright scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Wesley Matthews added 15 points on 6 of 12 shooting. Rookie CJ McCollum added 12 points and 3 rebounds in almost 18 minutes of playing time. What have you thought of the Blazers season? I thank you for reading Pro Basketball Hoops Land.

Kemba scores 21: Big Al adds 20 to lead Bobcats to win over Bucks
I didn't think the Charlotte Bobcats would make the playoffs this season. Kemba Walker is improving I believe. The free agent signing of Big Al Jefferson has been a huge upgrade to the Charlotte Bobcats. Michael Jordan is doing a good job so far in putting together this team. The trade for Gary Neal I thought was good. The Charlotte Bobcats defeated NBA worst team the Milwaukee Bucks 101-92. Kemba Walker lead the way with 21 points, 8 assists on 7 of 13 shooting. Al Jefferson scored 20 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks. Gary Neal added 18 points on 5 of 6 shooting in over 24 minutes of playing time. Shooting guard Gerald Henderson added 14 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds. I encourage you to take a look at the new page added to this blog. The Kemba Walker Store. What do you think of the Charlotte Bobcats this season? What players should they add in the 2014 NBA Draft? I think Willie- Cauley Stein of Kentucky would be a nice backup to Al Jefferson. What do you think about that? For the Milwaukee Bucks, point guard Brandon Knight lead with 21 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals. Ramon Sessions scored 18 points and 6 assists. Power forward John Henson scored 12 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Jeff Adrien added 12 points and 4 rebounds in 14 minutes of playing time. Who should the Milwaukee Bucks draft in the 2014 NBA Draft? Who would be your top 4 choices? I ask that because it looks like Milwaukee will be draft somewhere between 1st and 4th pick. Send me your thoughts on this. Tell me what you thought about this game. Thank you for reading Pro Basketball Hoops Land. Al Jefferson and Bobcats defeat Eastern Conference Best Indiana Pacers
I think Al Jefferson is an amazing big man. I am confident the signing of him is exactly what the Charlotte Bobcats needed. Last night the Bobcats played the NBAS best team Eastern Conference top seeded Indiana Pacers. The Bobcats defeated the Pacers 109-87. Charlotte ended the 1st quarter up 28-8. That is some incredible and exciting defense for 6th rated defense in this 2013-2014 season. Al Jefferson lead the way with 34 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and shot 16 of 25 from the field. Underrated point guard drafted out of University Of Connecticut Kemba Walker, scored 19 points, 9 assists and shot 50 percent or 7 of 14 from the field. Josh McRoberts scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Chris Douglas-Roberts added 12 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds, shot 4 of 7 from the field and 3 of 3 from downtown. The Bobcats improved their record to 28-33. Will the Bobcats make the playoffs? What do you believe? Who should Charlotte draft for next season when they go back to being the Charlotte Hornets? For the Indiana Pacers, their leading scorer was Evan Turner with 22 points and 5 assists. Turner shot 9 of 12 from the field and 2 of 2 from downtown. George Hill scored 17 points, 3 rebounds, shot 60 percent or 6 of 10 from the field, and 3 of 5 from three point range. Shooting guard Lance Stephenson scored 12 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Chris Copeland added 11 points on 3 of 5 shooting from downtown. Paul George was held to 2 points on 0 of 9 shooting. George just had an extremely bad night. Do you think he will find his groove again? Will Indiana finish in the 1 seed in the Eastern Conference? Will they get past the Miami Heat? Send me your thoughts on this. Thank you for reading Pro Basketball Hoops Land.

Big Al scores 30 to lead Bobcats to victory over Mavericks
I think the signing of Al Jefferson was a very smart signing by Michael Jordan. I think it's a shame that Jefferson didn't make the 2014 NBA All Star Game. The Charlotte Bobcats defeated the Dallas Mavericks 114-89. Big Al lead the way for the Bobcats with 30 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks. Anthony Tolliver scored 22 points and knocked down 5 of 10 shots from three point range. Shooting guard Gerald Henderson added 15 points on 7 of 11 shooting. The Charlotte Bobcats improve their record to 23-29 with the win. For the Dallas Mavericks their were only two players even worth talking about. The best two scorers for the Mavericks in this game were Dirk Nowitzki and Monta Ellis. Dirk Nowitzki scored 16 points, 4 rebounds, shot 5 of 9 from the field and 2 out of 2 from downtown. Monta Ellis scored 16 points, 7 assists and 4 rebounds. Do you think the Charlotte Bobcats will make the playoffs? Will the Dallas Mavericks make the playoffs? Send me your thoughts on this. You can comment here or get involved at the new forum on my blog. The forum is at http://probasketballhoops.boardhost.com You can talk about the Bobcats, mavericks, any other nba team, college basketball and more. Thank you for reading Pro Basketball Hoops Land.

Sessions does impressive in place of Kemba Walker and Al Jefferson double-double leads Bobcats to win over Raptors
Point guard Kemba Walker is out for almost two weeks with a left ankle injury. Coming in for Walker and starting in his place was Ramon Sessions. Sessions lead the way with 23 poitns and 2 assists. Al Jefferson acquired a double-double by scoring 22 points, 19 rebounds. Jefferson also added 7 assists and 2 blocks in the game. The Charlotte Bobcats defeated the Toronto Raptors 100-95. Gerald Henderson added 16 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds for the Bobcats. How impressed were you with Sessions play? How much are you dying to see Kemba Walker back on the court? Is Al Jefferson one of the most underrated big man in the NBA? For the Toronto Raptors DeMar DeRozan lead with 25 points and 6 rebounds. Kyle Lowry scored 21 points, 4 assists and 4 rebounds. Greivis Vasquez added 15 points, 9 assists and 7 rebounds. The Charlotte Bobcats improve their record to 18-25 with the win. The Raptors drop to 20-20 with the loss. What did you like about this game? What did you hate about this game? Send me your comments. Thank you for reading Pro Basketball Hoops Land. Stay tuned soon for I have something in store for Bobcats fans, Raptors fans and all other 28 NBA teams.

Al Jefferson and Kemba Walker have double-doubles to lead Bobcats to victory over Magic
What did you think of the Al Jefferson signing during the offseason for the Charlotte Bobcats? I personally love it because, it gives them a great low post scorer. Al Jefferson and Kemba Walker both had double-doubles to help the Charlotte Bobcats defeat the Orlando Magic 111-101. Jefferson lead the way with 30 points and 16 rebounds. Point guard Kemba Walker scored 19 points and dished out 10 assists. Two guard Gerald Henderson added 17 points and 3 rebounds. Josh McRoberts scored 17 points, dished out 5 assists. McRoberts shot 6 of 8 from the field. The Charlotte Bobcats are 17-24 with the win, and are currently sitting in the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference. Will the Charlotte Bobcats make the playoffs? For the Orlando Magic, Arron Afflalo lead the way for the Magic with 24 points and 4 rebounds. Afflalo shot 4 of 7 from three point range. Tobias Harris scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Jameer Nelson added 18 points and 8 assists. What do you think about the performance of Al Jefferson and Kemba Walker? Will Arron Afflalo be an all star for the Eastern Conference? Do you think the Orlando Magic will get a top three pick in the 2014 NBA Draft? Send me your thoughts on this and thank you for reading Pro Basketball Hoops Land.

Kemba Walker's 31 lead Bobcats to victory over Warriors
The Charlotte Bobcats are doing better this year than I thought they would. The truth is though the Eastern Conference is just plain awful right now. Kemba Walker scored 31 points, 5 assists, 5 rebounds, and shot 10 of 18 from the field, to lead the Bobcats to a 115-111 victory over the Golden State Warriors. Two guard Gerald Henderson scored 24 points. Ramon Sessions in over 21 minutes of action, scored 13 points, 5 assists and 3 rebounds. Undersized shooting guard Ben Gordon added 12 points in over 13 minutes of playing time. For the Golden State Warriors, Point Guard sensation Stephen Curry scored 43 points, 9 assist and 6 rebounds. Curry didn't have a good shooting night from three point range. Curry shot 5 of 16 from downtown. Klay Thompson scored 22 points and 5 assists. Power Forward David Lee had a double-double with 14 points and 16 rebounds. Drafted out of North Carolina small forward Harrison Barnes added 14 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assist and 2 steals. Bobcat fans tell me how impressed were you with Kemba Walker? Send me your thoughts on this game. Thank you for reading Pro Basketball Hoops Land.

Charlotte Bobcats and the 4th pick Who Will They Take?
Charlotte Bobcats tommorrow night in the 2013 NBA Draft have the 4th pick. I am curious to know who do you think they will take? Here is a list of players I think they should take ( personally anyone who can put the ball into the basket and score some points). 1) Ben McLemore the six foot five shooting guard out of Kansas would be my first choice if I'm the second worst record Bobcats. Bobcats desperately need some scorers. McLemore will be a beast in the NBA. I don't think he will be superstar status like Dwyane Wade or Kobe Bryant but he will at least be a one or two time all star. McLemore provides three point shooting and athleticism which would help the Bobcats out alot. I don't believe McLemore will fall this far though but if he does Bobcats would be making a mistake in not taking him. 2) Anthony Bennett is a six foot seven combo forward who will be an amazing player in the NBA. I love that he can play either the small forward at the 3 spot or the power forward at the 4 spot. Bennett will be a solid player who can score and can help out the Bobcats. 3) Cody Zeller might be a reach with the fourth pick. Zeller though is a seven footer who can play either the power forward or the center position. Zeller can score and can hit the mid range jumper as well. So while Zeller could be a reach with the 4th pick and he may not be a franchise changing player he could give them some more scoring. Thank you for reading my NBA Blog and I encourage you to vote on the poll you see to the right hand side on this blog. I want to see what everyone will be voting on who do you think will be the best player in this 2013 NBA Draft.

Charlotte worst NBA Team defeats Orlando the second worst NBA Team
What can I say about the Charlotte Bobcats or the Orlando Magic that isn't needed to be said they stink this year. The Charlotte Bobcats defeated the Orlando Magic 114-108. Charlotte had two scorers who each had 34 points a piece. The two scorers I'm talking about is Gerald Henderson and Kemba Walker. Gerald Henderson scored 34 points, 7 rebounds and shot 12 out of 18 from the field. Kemba Walker scored 34 points, 9 assists and 7 rebounds. Bismack Biyombo added 11 points, 7 rebounds and 3 blocks. Charlotte got off to a decent start this NBA season. It's not how good you start that matters though it's how you finish that counts. For the Orlando Magic Tobias Harris lead the Magic in scoring with 29 points. Harris also had 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 blocks. Kyle O'Quinn scored a double double with 23 points and 11 rebounds. O-Quinn also had 6 assists and shot 11 out of 14 from the field. Maurice Harkless added 18 points and 4 boards. Any hope for a playoff birth for the Bobcats and the Magic is way out in left field this season. Maybe the Bobcats and Magic can get a good solid piece in this year's 2013 Draft. I thank you for reading my NBA Blog.
