I admit I haven't had much of an opportunity to watch Kyle Lowry play. Last night I finally got to see him play. I enjoyed it. Looking at Lowry's numbers he deserves to be an all-star this season. Toronto Raptors starting point guard Kyle Lowry is averaging 19.6 points per game, 7.8 assists per game, 4.6 rebounds per game, 1.4 steals per game, 43 % shooting from the field, 33% from three point land and 81% from the free throw line. If Lowry doesn't make an all-star team this year, I will be madder than a ton of bees getting poked at with a stick. Lowry can score, but he plays unselfishly and a great facilitator on offense. Kyle Lowry the Toronto Raptors point guard is underrated even by me. Last night on ESPN was a game between the Brooklyn Nets and the Toronto Raptors. When it first started the Brooklyn Nets came out a blazing , looking like they were going to win after taking a 33-22 lead over Top Eastern Conference Atlantic Division NBA team Toronto Raptors. I believe in the saying "It's not how you start, but how you finish that matters". The Raptors found a way to finish the game. After being down 33-22, the Raptors finish the game on a 83 to 56 run, to defeat the Brooklyn Nets 105-89. Amazing Eastern Conference point guard Kyle Lowry lead the way for the Raptors with 20 points and 12 assists. Big man Jonas Valanciunas also had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Last year after the Toronto Raptors traded off Rudy Gay, I was surprised how much this team improved. In spite they got knocked out of the first round of the 2014 Playoffs, it gave them some playoff experience. I think they the Raptors will at least get to the second round, and maybe even the Conference Finals. The Rudy Gay Trade made this team better and deeper in my opinion. Raptors continue hot start by beating the Hawks: DeRozan scores 27: Lou Williams adds 22 off the bench: Lou Williams Discussion
The Toronto Raptors entered this game with a 12-2 record taking on the Atlanta Hawks. I don't think I've ever seen a Raptors squad more balanced in scoring than this one. I'm so disappointed that I hardly hear much talk about them on ESPN or ABC. The pickup of Lou Williams to me has been one of the biggest keys this season. Williams to me is the X-Factor and has to come off the bench, to give that second unit a scoring punch. So far Lou Williams at the moment would be my 6th year of the man candidate. Williams is currently averaging 14.1 points per game, shooting 44% from the field and 42% from three. I believe that this team has a huge shot at winning a championship this year.

I'm not saying this just because of their record, but I feel in my opinion this is the best Toronto Raptors team I've ever seen. I admit last year when they traded Rudy Gay, I was thinking what are you doing, now looking at it, getting rid of Rudy Gay and getting some depth for this bench was the best move this team ever done. This team is stacked with depth on it. If I'm an other NBA team, I feel this year I wouldn't want to face the Toronto Raptors in the playoffs. I feel the only two possible teams who might stop them would be Chicago Bulls with a healthy Derrick Rose, and maybe the Cleveland Cavaliers. Center Jonas Valanciunas achieves a double-double: DeRozan adds 23 to help Raptors improve to 12-2
What can you say this season about the Toronto Raptors that hasn't already been said about them this year. They are lighting up the Eastern Conference after 14 games like a Christmas Tree or a bright neon sign. You've got to love the way they are attacking the basket especially the back court players point guard Kyle Lowry, and shooting guard DeMar DeRozan. Lowry and DeRozan are getting to the free throw line which makes a huge difference. On Monday night they played the Phoenix Suns who have been a solid team this season too. The Toronto Raptors defeated the Phoenix Suns 104-100. Big man Jonas Valanciunas lead the way with 27 points and 11 rebounds, two guard DeMar DeRozan added 23 points to help out the Raptors in securing the victory. Here are the stats for each team.

Louis Williams scores 36 off the bench to lead Raptors to win
Last year, I made the mistake of under estimating the Toronto Raptors. This year I have them finishing 3rd in the Eastern Conference, although they are really impressing me so far with there play this year. Toronto so far has the best record at 11-2 in the Eastern Conference. Even though I have them as a 3 seed, I'm leaning towards changing my prediction to a 1 or 2 seed in the Eastern Conference. One of the best back courts in the NBA with Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan they just play great together. Last night though the most impressive thing was Louis Williams ( many refer to him as Lou Williams) scored ( and stop me if I'm wrong) a career high 36 points off the bench to lead the Toronto Raptors to 110-93 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Kyle Lowry scored 23 points, and DeMar DeRozan added 20. Here are the stats for each team.

At 11-2 I think this is the best start that the Raptors ever have had in franchise history after 13 games. If I'm wrong about this please let me know. I don't feel that I've ever witnessed a Toronto Raptors team as good as this one. I love how they are attacking the basket and getting to the free throw line this season. At 11-2 I think this is the best start that the Raptors ever have had in franchise history after 13 games. If I'm wrong about this please let me know. Toronto VS Memphis: Two of NBA's best teams so far: (8-2 Ra737ptors defeat 10-1 Grizzlies)
This is what the NBA is about to me, two of the best teams battling it out on the court. Last night, The 8-2 Toronto Raptors played against the 10-1 Memphis Grizzlies. The Toronto Raptors won out the battle by beating the Memphis Grizzlies 96-92. DeMar DeRozan proved again why he is the best player on this team, by scoring 21 points to lead the way for Toronto. Toronto Raptors Thoughts
- I admit the Raptors are a team who get very little respect in this league, even by me. I do have them finishing 3rd in the Eastern Conference, and winning the Atlantic Division
- Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan have to be considered a top 5 back court in the NBA. In my opinion they are third to me , behind 1) Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, and 2) John Wall and Bradley Beal.
- Even though the Raptors got out rebounded by 15, they had 5 less turnovers. Taking care of the ball will help you win games.
- I feel Toronto can get to the second round of the playoffs this year, maybe even the Conference Finals.
Memphis Grizzlies Thoughts
- In spite having 50 rebounds to Toronto's 35, you have to take care of the basketball better to win games. The Grizzlies didn't do that by committing 13 turnovers.
- Courtney Lee, Tony Allen and Beno Udrih were out with the stomach virus. I admit I wonder what would have happened had at least Lee and Allen played.
- Off to a 10-2 start, can the Grizzlies keep this up?

Back Court Scoring of DeRozan and Lowry leads to Raptors win over Magic
One of the best and not talked about as much back courts in the NBA, is the Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry and shooting guard DeMar DeRozan. On Saturday the Toronto Raptors beat the Orlando Magic 108-95. DeMar and Kyle Lowry lead the way for the Raptors. Here are the stats for each team.

- Would you agree that Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan are top 5 backcourt in the NBA?
- Raptors out rebounded the Magic 50-40. When you have more rebounds, it gives you more opportunities to try and score to win the game
- Jonas Valanciunas didn't shoot good, but got to the line, and did his job on the glass.
- Nice performance from James Johnson off the bench. Good shooting and okay numbers. 12 points and 3 boards.
- I still am confident that the Toronto Raptors will win the Atlantic Division this season. Think about it, look at the rest of the competition, The Boston Celtics, The Brooklyn Nets, The New York Knicks and the Philadelphia 76ers.
- Bold prediction Toronto will win 52 games this season, and finish 3rd seed.
Orlando Magic Thoughts
- Rookie point guard Elfrid Payton shot good (50% 6 of 12), but much do better at the free throw line. Nice assists with 9. Almost a double double. I think the Magic have found their point guard of the future
- Nikola Vucevic is proving so far he is the double-double master. All three games he has scored double digits, and had double digits in rebounds. I think he could possibly be an all-star this year.
- This team must crash the boards better. Nikola Vucevic can't do everything on the glass. Box out and go after those rebounds.
- Evan Fournier has been a solid pickup so far, but truthfully I'm anticipating the return of my favorite Orlando Magic player Victor Oladipo.
- Tobias Harris almost had a double-double, but shot bad from the field. 4 of 15 aren't good numbers. Everyone though has a bad game or two once in a while. Tobias must shake it off and do better the next game.

Raptors win opener over Hawks with three players averaging double-doubles
The Toronto Raptors were a surprise team to me last year in the Eastern Conference. This year I feel the Raptors expectations are much higher. I think they will finish 3rd maybe 4th. Winning the Atlantic Division to me is possible and doable. Three Raptors players achieved double-doubles to help the Raptors defeat the Atlanta Hawks 109-102. Here are the stats for both teams.

- Kyle Lowry was solid. Lowry scored 11 points, 10 assists, 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
- Raptors had six guys in double figures. When you get six guys in double figures, your odds of winning go up. The Raptors got things done offensively
- Will center Jonas Valanciunas step up his game this season? I feel that he will
- The Raptors will win the Atlantic Division in my opinion. Who else could win it seriously? The Knicks, The Nets, The Celtics or the Sixers. The Division to me is the Raptors for the taking.
Atlanta Hawks Thoughts
- Three players scoring 20 points ( Jeff Teague, Kyle Korver and Mike Scott). You would think that would be enough to win the game. The Hawks just got outscored by the Raptors
- I don't have the Hawks making the playoffs this year, but I could be wrong.
- Impressive that both big men Al Horford and Paul Millsap achieved a double-double in the loss.
- Kyle Korver with 3 blocks. I didn't think he had any defense in him
- Al Horford and Paul Millsap must be healthy for this team to have a shot at the playoffs

30 Days 30 Grades: Day 28: Eastern Conference Toronto Raptors Off-Season Grade
I'm going to be honest this is one of the hardest teams I'm having trouble grading. I don't get to see a lot of Raptors games. Welcome to day 28 of my 30 day blog series titled "30 Days 30 Grades. Today I am going to talk about the Toronto Raptors and their off-season grade. Here are the four things I'm going to do in this blog , 1) Give my Raptors off-season grade, 2) Give a list of players added to the roster, whether it be through the draft, trade, free agency or claimed off of waivers, 3) Give a list of Raptors players subtracted from the roster, and finally 4) I'm going to give the reason or reasons why I give the Toronto Raptors the off-season grade I give them.

DeRozan scores 30: Lowry adds 28 to lead Raptors to win over Pistons
The Toronto Raptors are one of the most surprising teams to me in the Eastern Conference this season. I thought after the Rudy Gay trade to Sacramento this team would get worse. They found a way to improve. I give huge credit to Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan. The Toronto Raptors won their 47th game by defeating the Detroit Pistons 116-107. DeMar DeRozan lead the way for the Raptors with 30 points, 3 assists and had 10 of 19 shooting. Point guard Kyle Lowry scored 28 points, 7 assists and 2 steals. Center Jonas Valanciunas scored 18 points and pulled down 8 rebounds. Greivis Vasquez added 14 points, 2 assists, and 5 of 9 shooting in 19 minutes. The Raptors tied their franchise record with the win. I am impressed with the play of the Raptors this season. How impressed are you with the performance of the Toronto Raptors this season? DeRozan's 31 points lead Raptors to win over Pelicans
I think DeMar DeRozan is an underrated shooting guard in the NBA. I admit I don't even give him enough credit. The way the Raptors are playing this season, I find it sad and pathetic that you don't get to see some of their games on TV. The Toronto Raptors defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 107-100. Shooting guard DeMar DeRozan lead the way for Toronto with 31 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds and 3 steals. Kyle Lowry scored 23 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals. Power forward Amir Johnson added 17 points, 9 rebounds, 2 blocks and 2 assists. How far do you think the Toronto Raptors will go in the playoffs? I hope to see a Toronto Raptors vs Washington Wizards matchup in the playoffs. I think it would be exciting to watch. Are you surprised by the way the Raptors have performed this season? For the New Orleans Pelicans Al-Farouq Aminu lead the way with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Tyreke Evans scored 18 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and had 7 of 10 shooting. Shooting Guard Eric Gordon added 15 points, 2 assists, 2 rebounds and shot 2 of 6 from three point land. If the Pelicans do end up getting a first round pick, what player would you like to see them draft in the 2014 NBA Draft? Do you believe that their is good talent around Anthony Davis? Toronto Raptors and the 5th pick
The Toronto Raptors are a team I feel sorry for. It seems like to me they are one of the worst if not the worst defensive team in the league. I like to watch an underdog team turn things around and rise up. Ever since Chris Bosh left this team this team isn't the same. Who should this team draft? Should they trade Andrea Bargnani? As far as who this team should draft below are players they should draft and these are not in order either.
1) Jan Vesely- Why am I so high on this kid. For starters he's 6'11. He can play either forward position. He has the height advantage to score over most defenders. I still feel though he will go to either Utah at the 3rd pick or Cleveland at the 4th pick.
2) Brandon Knight- a combo guard who is compared to Jason Terry. The Raptors actually need the best player available and just nearly start over. Also is good at staying in front of his man. Raptors desperately need defense and i think Knight could bring a little of that.
3) Jonas Valanciunas- I think if they draft Valanciunas then Bargani can go back to playing the 4. Valanciunas is an aggressive rebounder which is what the Raptors need.
4) Kemba Walker- this might be a reach going into the top five. I like how quick Walker is though and he would be interesting if Vesely, Knight and Valaniunas by chance are off the board.
