30 Days 30 Grades: Day 24 The Phoenix Suns Off-season grade

Welcome to day 24 of my 30 day blog series titled "30 Days 30 Grades".  20 percent left of this blog series to go.  Today I am going to talk about Pacific Division NBA Team Phoenix Suns.  Here are the four things I'm going to do , 1)  Give my Phoenix Suns off-season grade,  2)  Give a list of Suns players added to the roster whether it be through draft, trade, free agency or claimed off of waivers,  3) Give a list of Phoenix players subtracted from the roster, and finally 4) I will give the reason or reasons why I give the Suns the grade I given them.

Phoenix Suns Off-Season Grade:  C

Phoenix Suns Players Added:  TJ Warren, Tyler Ennis, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Alec Brown, Anthony Tolliver, Isaiah Thomas

Phoenix Suns Players Subtracted:  Channing Frye, Alex Oriakhi, Ish Smith, Dionte Christmas

Why did I give the Suns a C?   I think they could have done better. I like the pickup of Isaiah Thomas. Thomas last year put up his best season for Pacific Division rival Sacramento Kings by scoring 20.3 points per game, 6.3 assists per game, 2.9 rebounds per game, 1.3 steals per game, 45% shooting from the field, 34% from three, and 85% from free throw range.   I give this team a C because of the confusion of Eric Bledsoe. Are they going to keep Bledsoe, trade him? What are they going to do?  If you do bring on Bledsoe then Isaiah Thomas plays a sixth man role.  He was great as a starting point guard for the Kings last year.  Isaiah Thomas is undersized at 5'9", but plays great for his size.  This team lost Channing Frye to my current hometown of Orlando, but they replaced him with Anthony Tolliver.  Tolliver only played 20.3 minutes per game last year where he averaged 6.1 points per game, 2.6 rebounds per game, shot 42% from the field, 41% from three, and 80% from free throw line.  2014 NBA Draft 14th pick small forward TJ Warren is a 6 foot 8 small forward who is athletic.  In Warren's first summer league debut he scored 22 points and 4 rebounds. I think Warren will be a solid NBA player.  2014 NBA Draft 18th pick 6 foot 2 point guard Tyler Ennis is one I'm not sure about yet.  He is a solid passer. Anyone who knows more about Ennis send me your comments.  The Suns to me are just trying to stack up on guards. I personally don't get why you draft Bogdan Bogdanovic when there were other solid players on the board in the 2014 NBA Draft.  Do you think the Suns could have done better in the 2014 NBA Draft?  What did you think about their off-season?  Am I too tough on the Suns with the grade I gave them?  What grade would you give the Phoenix Suns for their off-season?
