30 Days 30 Grades: Day 23: Philadelphia 76ers Off-Season Grade

Welcome to day 23 of my 30 blog series titled "30 Days 30 Grades".  Today I am going to talk about Atlantic Division Eastern Conference NBA Team Philadelphia 76ers off-season grade. Here are the four things I'm going to do  1)  Give my off-season grade,  2)  Give a list of Sixers players added to the roster whether it be through the draft, free agency, trade, claimed off of waivers or undrafted, 3) Give a list of 76ers players subtracted from the roster, and finally 4)  Give the reason or reasons why that I give the Sixers the grade I give them.

Philadelphia 76ers off-season grade:  A+

Philadelphia 76ers players added:  Joel Embiid, Dario Saric, KJ McDaniels, Jermani Grant, Pierre Jackson, Vasilije Micic, Alexey Shved, Luc Mbah A Moute, Hasheem Thabeet

Philadelphia 76ers players subtracted:  Thaddeus Young,  James Anderson (waived)

Why did I give the Philadelphia 76ers an A plus?  I give this team an A plus because of Sam Hinkie sticking with the plan to rebuild.   I know Thabeet so far has been a bust in the NBA, but I would like for the 76ers to give him a shot and see what could happen while Joel Embiid is out.  Nerlens Noel will be playing this year. Noel I feel it's between him and Jabari Parker for rookie of the year.  Dario Saric will be here in a couple of years, and from what I've heard about him, I can't wait for him to come over and play on the 76ers team.  I love that the Sixers got a draft steal at 32 of KJ McDaniels.  How did McDaniels not be taken in the first round of the 2014 NBA Draft, I will never know.  From what I watched of highlights of McDaniels, I rarely see a wing player who plays like he does.  I personally would like to see him start this season, or at least be first string off the bench.   I personally right now know that the Sixers have a rebuilding plan, and I give them high praise for sticking to it no matter what ESPN or other sports news articles say.  I think that if Sixers fans will be patient, I believe in the the next 2-3 years, the Sixers will be at least a top 5 Eastern Conference team, maybe even higher than that.  The Sixers are building up a solid defensive team.  I can't wait for the day to see Joel Embiid, Nerlens Noel, Dario Saric, KJ McDaniels and Michael Carter- Williams out on the court together.  I personally would like to see that as a possible starting five in the future.   So what are your thoughts on the off-season grade I gave the Sixers?  What grade would you have given them? Send me your comments. Thank you for reading Pro Basketball Hoops Land.
