Triple 21: helps Pacers defeat the Bulls

On Saturday Night the Indiana Pacers defeated the Chicago Bulls 99-90.  This article is named triple 21 because three players lead the way with 21 points.  The three players who scored 21 points are Luis Scola, Solomon Hill and A.J. Price.  Here are the stats for each team.

Indiana Pacers Thoughts

1. I have to admit after 11 games, the Pacers are a little bit better than I was thinking they were going to be.  I thought they would be 2-9 after 11 games. They are 4-7 in their first 11 games.  I still feel they will be top 5 in NBA worst teams this season, mainly because of Paul George being injured.
2. Solomon Hill has filled in solidly for Paul George.  Solomon Hill is currently averaging 12.6 points per game.  While that isn't great, it's not bad either.  
3. When you out rebound the Bulls 46-34 on the glass, that will help you win some games.   Nice to see Roy Hibbert having 7 rebounds in this game.  I hope Hibbert plays like he did the first half of last season, and not the second half.
4. A.J. Price has been impressive so far.  Getting more playing time can either help or hurt your game.  Could he be the Pacers point guard of the future?  Who knows?  I feel that if this team were to get the number one pick they should at this current time take 6 foot 5 point guard Emmanuel Mudiay.

Chicago Bulls Thoughts

1. The Bulls are off to a good start at 7-3.  If they can continue to do this, they will win between 56-58 games.  
2. Jimmy Butler seems to improve on the offensive end this season.  If he can keep this up, he will continue to be the Bulls shooting guard. 
3. With or without Derrick Rose this team will go far. I like there chances better with Derrick Rose though.
4. I want to see D-Rose be healthy all year.  It''s okay if they sit him out for a few games to rest and all.   People knock on D-Rose for being injured.  Injuries do happen to basketball players, plus football, baseball, hockey and almost any other physical contact sport.

Final Thoughts

While all fans want to see their team win games,  their is one part of me thinks the Pacers should not intentionally do it, but stink up the joint, then the other part of me says fight and go for the playoffs.  I'm all for the bust or get into the playoffs mentality though. Being mediocre and getting a 13th-18th pick isn't helpful for a franchise.  Think of Atlanta, Philadelphia until last year and this year, and Phoenix Suns are teams that come to mind.  Thank you for reading Pro Basketball Hoops Land.
