Orlando Magic Thoughts
- It was nice to see some great production from rookies 2014 NBA Draft 4th pick power forward Aaron Gordon and 10th pick point guard Elfrid Payton. I feel Payton could win rookie of the year, and Aaron Gordon could at this time be a good sixth man for us
- Orlando out rebounded the Timberwolves 52-38. Cleaning up the glass more than your opponents can help you win ball games
- Tobias Harris played great last night after hitting a clutch game winner against the Philadelphia 76ers. Do you feel that Tobias Harris deserves an extension? I do.
- Evan Fournier is filling in nicely for the injured Victor Oladipo.
- Maurice Harkless added 11 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, and 4 of 5 shooting from the field in 20 minutes and 42 seconds of playing time. I'm glad that Mo Harkless is getting some playing time.
- Coach Jacque Vaughn last night seemed to take his timeouts at the right time last night.
- This team has a bright future and is competitive. This team is a rising team within 1-2 seasons. If we can play like we've played the last two games, this team sneak into the 8th seed and maybe even 7 in the Eastern Conference.
Minnesota Timberwolves Thoughts
- I'm not going to lie, I didn't come to just the Orlando Magic play in this game, but to watch the passing of point guard Ricky Rubio.
- Ricky Rubio scored 4 points, 6 assists in 13 minutes and 15 seconds of action.
- Ricky Rubio had to leave the game late in the first half due to spraining his left ankle. I have no idea how long he will be out
- Timberwolves never lead by more than 8 in this game
- Haven't won in Orlando since 2008
- Rookie Andrew Wiggins only scored 6 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 block on 3 of 6 shooting in over 25 minutes of action
In spite that Orlando Magic turned the ball over 21 to Minnesota's 12 times, the Magic found a way to win this game. Congratulations on a great win from the Orlando Magic to improve to 2-4.
