Golden State Warriors Thoughts
- Klay Thompson had a bad shooting night, but it happens. Stephen Curry stepped up in his place though
- Stephen Curry was hot in this game, it seemed like he almost couldn't miss. Curry is one of the best shooters in the game. All the team who passed on him in the draft have to be kicking themselves in the foot.
- The Warriors shot 44 percent for the game.
- Out rebounded the Rockets 54-46. When you out rebound your opponents on the glass, your odds of winning improve.
- Nice performance in the paint for Andrew Bogut with 4 blocks.
- I have wanted Draymond Green to play more, and now he finally is. Solid shooting night from him from the field.
- Being the only undefeated team has to feel good for coach Steve Kerr. I still miss Mark Jackson, but Kerr is off to a great start so far.
Houston Rockets Thoughts
- Houston loves to live by the three and die by the three. They took 42 three's in this game and only made 10 of them, for a percentage of 23.8. I think they must cut back on the three's, unless they start getting hot when trying them.
- The Rockets only shot 34 percent for the game. 1 out of every 3 shots is not going to win you games unless your opposition shoots 0 of 3.
- I have underestimated this team. I thought losing Chandler Parsons would hurt this team. It has helped them with the arrival of Trevor Ariza who can get it done on defense and offensive too.
Final Thoughts
Congratulations to the Golden State Warriors for improving to 5-0. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are the best back court in the NBA. Thank you for reading Pro Basketball Hoops Land. If you missed the game, check out the video below for some great highlights.
