Brooklyn Nets improve to 4-2 with win over Orlando Magic

Last night rookie Bojan Bogdanovic scored 22 points to help the Brooklyn Nets defeat the Orlando Magic 104-96. The Nets improved to 4-2 with the win. Here are the stats for each team.

Brooklyn Nets Thoughts

1. Nice to see in this game Deron Williams play like his All-Star days form again.  I hope he will and can keep this up. I know injuries haven't been helpful to him. I want to see the battle between him and Chris Paul again of who is the better point guard.
2. Mason Plumlee is a beast. 12 points and 10 rebounds in over 16 minutes, if he were on any other team I believe he would be starting.  Playing behind Brook Lopez and Kevin Garnett isn't helpful to him in getting minutes.
3. I want to see Brook Lopez be healthy all season this year and every year after this one.  If he can be healthy for 70 games a season that would be great at least for the Nets.
4. Coach Lionel Hollins is off to a better start with these Brooklyn Nets than Jason Kidd was last year.  I still can't stop thinking about the soda spill last year from Kidd. 

Orlando Magic Thoughts

1. Rookie point guard Elfrid Payton only scored 2 points, 6 assists, 5 turnovers, 2 steals and shot 1 of 5 from the field.  Payton I know is a rookie, but must improve his ball handling skills. 
2. Rookie athletic power forward Aaron Gordon scored 2 points, 2 rebounds on 1 of 3 shooting.  Aaron Gordon will get better.
3. Nikola Vucevic to me is an all-star.  This Magic team reminds me of when Michael Jordan retired from the Chicago Bulls and later they had Kirk Hinrich, Ben Gordon, Luol Deng, Tyson Chandler and Eddy Curry. 

Final Thoughts

Brooklyn Nets I feel will be in the playoffs.  What seed who knows?  I do feel the Raptors will win the Atlantic Division and Brooklyn will finish 2nd.  I'm thinking maybe a 6 or 7 seed.  You never know though.
