Washington Wizards Thoughts
- John Wall is a top ten point guard in the NBA Today. Wall can not only score, but can dish out the rock as well. He delivered the clutch shot to help the Wizards keep from starting the season 0-2
- Marcin Gortat ex Orlando Magic center shot 10 of 13 from the field. He was banging down low and did a great job
- Paul Pierce got off to a rocky start, but finished with 16 points. Good night for Pierce
- Garrett Temple filled in nicely for injured shooting guard Bradley Beal. Temple shot 50 from the field and 66 percent from three this game.
- The Wizards turned the ball over less which is one of the reason I felt they won, in spite almost blowing a 17 point lead
Orlando Magic Thoughts
- Center Nikola Vucevic is playing great. I love the fact that he is a walking double-doubles. He opened up the season with 23 rebounds and had 12 tonight. Vucevic if he can keep playing like this should be an all-star.
- Ben Gordon surprised me at Amway Center. I thought he was going to drop another 1 for 8 performance. I saw the Ben Gordon last night that I watched in Chicago. 20 point scorer Gordon. If BG can play like this 2 out of 3 games then I'm happy with the signing.
- When rookie point guard Elfrid Payton was out, and Luke Ridnour came into the game, I noticed the Orlando Magic started coming back. They got the 17 point deficit down to 2 towards the end of the game. John Wall was just too much. I applaud there effort in the 4th and they fought back.
- Why isn't coach Jacque Vaughn using Maurice (Mo) Harkless? Did they have a riff or something? Is he secretly injured? These questions leave me to ponder?
- Another solid production from rookie power forward Aaron Gordon. He had an dunk in the game. I wish I could have taped the video from my phone to show it. Aaron Gordon scored 4 points and pulled down 4 rebounds on 2 of 4 shooting.
- Rookie Elfrid Payton scored 2 points, 7 assists and 3 rebounds in 22 minutes.
