Eastern Conference Teams who I feel will make the playoffs

The NBA season starts one week away on December 25th. Here are the teams at this current time in the Eastern Conference who I feel will make the playoffs.


1) Chicago Bulls- I think the signing of Rip Hamilton will really help this team. Last year the Bulls didn't have a great scoring shooting guard. This year they have a nice starting five with Joakim Noah at center, Carlos Boozer at power forward, Luol Deng at small forward, Rip Hamilton at shooting guard and my favorite athlete Derrick Rose at the point guard position. I was actually between this team and the Miami Heat here. I think the Bulls will go far with this team this year.


2) Miami Heat- The signing of Shane Battier I feel will really help this team. Battier can come in off the bench and give Lebron James some rest. I'm not too sure about the signing of Eddy Curry though. If Curry can step up his game and grab the boards Miami could be a force to be reckoned with. Chris Bosh, Lebron James and Dwyane Wade have found they finally can play together after the 9-8 start last year.


3) Boston Celtics- I would have put this team at 1 had they last year not traded off Kendrick Perkins and Nate Robinson. They traded Glen (Big Baby Davis) to Orlando for Brandon Bass so that trade could be interesting. If Bass can play center really well this team has a shot. They still have to me the big 4 which is Kevin Garnett (KG), Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo. I wonder what Keyon Dooling will bring off the bench and Jeff Green will provide a spark. I don't see this team as going to the finals but I feel confident enough they will be a 3 seed.


from 4 on down to me is the toughest especially 8th seed. I am just guessing here


4) New York Knicks- I think the fact they added Tyson Chandler will help this team move up to a higher seed. Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire will learn how to play well together and will be the biggest scoring on the team. Mike Bibby will do the passing in spite he's not as great as he was in his days on the Sacramento Kings. To me this team is not enough to go to the finals but I feel they will be a 4 seed nonetheless.


5) Orlando Magic- Dwight Howard and Jason Richardson are why I have this team up higher than they may actually perform. I think Dwight Howard defense will still be nasty and Jason Richardson will help out with scoring. This team could move to a lower seed if Dwight Howard gets too distracted with the possibly of being traded. Not good enough to me for a championship team unless Chris Paul would have came to this team. Dwight to me won't be back here next year unless by a miracle this team wins the NBA Finals.


6) Atlanta Hawks- Joe Johnson, Josh Smith and Al Horford are a nice big three. Tracy McGrady (T-Mac) was an okay signing but I would have had this team at a 4 or 5 seed if Jamal Crawford didn't sign with the Portland Trailblazers.


7) Indiana Pacers- this team will improve from there 8th seed last year to a 7th maybe even 6th or 5th seed. The trade of getting George Hill was a good trade and will make the Pacers backcourt even better. Pacers also signed David West to a two year contract which was smart. West an all star in New Orleans will help this team out more than last year. Tyler Hansbrough will spark off the bench or if West goes down will start for the injured David West. Nice additions to this team this year.


the 8th seed was my toughest because I was between Philadelphia 76rs, Milwaukee Bucks and Washington Wizards.


8) Philadelphia 76ers- If the play of Evan Turner can improve, Jrue Holiday passing improves, Elton Brand keeps from getting injured and Andre Igoudala can play good this team will be an 8th seed.
