Memphis is tied with Hornets for 7th spot by beating the Hornets.
Memphis Grizzlies beat the New Orleans Hornets 93-81 to tie the Hornets in the 7th spot out in the western conference. Zach Randolph led the Grizzlies by having a double double 28 points and 10 rebounds. Tony Allen added 17 points, Marc Gasol also had a double double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. OJ Mayo also had 10 points. The Memphis Grizzlies have impressed me this year with the way there playing. Mike Conley has really improved himself this year and been a much better point guard than in the past. Signing Tony Allen from free agency has helped along with Rudy Gay, Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol. Grizzlies have a good frontcourt with Gay, Randolph and M. Gasol. I think that if they play the Spurs in the first round they could upset them. The New Orleans Hornets leading scorer was Carl Landry with 19 points, Marco Belinelli added 14 points and Trevor Ariza added 12 points. The Hornets started off hot early in the year and now have seem to struggled with power forward David West being injured. Both the Grizzlies and the Hornets record is now 43-33.
