To The Philadelphia 76ers Fans: Why you should keep your head up

I know right now you are off to an 0-14 start. I can feel your frustration. In life people want instant gratification and it's understandable. The problem with instant gratification is if you rush results, it turns out into more disaster. Nerlens Noel is only a rookie right now who is currently averaging 7.9 points per game and 6.4 rebounds per game. You have to sometimes go through the bad to get to the good. I feel there are some good to eventually great pieces on this team. 7 foot center Joel Embiid out of the University of Kansas, I feel will be almost as good as Houston Rockets center Hakeem Olajuwon. What I saw last year in Kansas was high energy out of Joel Embiid and some good shot blocking. Embiid reminded me of Chicago Bulls Joakim Noah but with more offense. Nerlens Noel I didn't get to see in college, but I think he will be exciting whether he ends up remaining a starter or even coming off the bench. I think my favorite plays from Nerlens was the block on James Harden and the foul on Phoenix Suns guard Eric Bledsoe. KJ McDaniels I am glad fell to the Sixers in the 2nd round of the 2014 NBA Draft, I am shocked at all the teams that passed on him. I'm thinking of comparisons for McDaniels, if you think of better ones send me your comments. I'm thinking he is athletic like Andre Iguodala but has the defense of Bruce Bowen or Shane Battier. Last year rookie of the year 6 foot 6 point guard Michael Carter- Williams drafted out of the University of Syracuse is exciting. I wonder if you could slide him over to shooting guard and get Emmanuel Mudiay in the 2015 Draft. Please understand that I don't get to watch hardly any Philadelphia 76ers game, and am hoping to get the league pass next season. I can feel your frustration as a Sixers fan about other people making fun of us, but let them have their laugh, because the Sixers in 2-3 season I feel will be getting the last laugh. I think people at ESPN will wonder what happened to the Sixers, as the Atlantic Division NBA team Philadelphia 76ers will come through the league in 2-3 years like a bolt of lightning. I trust in General Manager Sam Hinkie. You have to tear down a mediocre team to build up a better one. If we went and signed a bunch of free agents, we would be back to 8th seed and more than likely getting bounced of the first round maybe the second at best. One other player I forgot to talk about is 6 foot 10 forward Dario Saric out of Croatia. I heard he was doing good, and so if he comes over here and does just as good, this team will be scary with Joel Embiid, Nerlens Noel, Dario Saric, KJ McDaniels, Michael Carter- Williams, possibly two top 5 draft picks. Rome wasn't built over night and neither are NBA teams. I feel that the 76ers will be like either Western Conference NBA team Oklahoma City Thunder or San Antonio Spurs. If this teams turns into the Spurs you can see over 10 plus years of winning. So now you must ask yourself this question, is it worth suffering a couple of bad seasons to have 7 or more great ones? You have to go through some bad times to get to the good ones, if you don't you won't feel appreciation when you get there. I can only say this from life experiences, but I feel it relates to building an NBA team. Please understand I write all my articles from the perspective of an NBA fan, so if there is something you know or would like to share that is 76ers related, send me your comments. Happy Thanksgiving to each and every one of you. Thank you for reading Pro Basketball Hoops Land.
