2014-2015 Central Division Eastern Conference Predictions

Hi everyone yesterday I talked about the Eastern Conference Atlantic Division, today I am going to talk to you about my Central Division predictions for the 2014-2015 NBA season. This is the hardest division to predict between 1 and 2, then 3-5  So send me your comments and tell me what you think.


2014-2015 Central Division Predictions (first the list and then I explain each team)

1. Cleveland Cavaliers
2. Chicago Bulls
3. Detroit Pistons
4. Milwaukee Bucks
5. Indiana Pacers

1) Cleveland-  I was between putting Chicago and Cleveland here.  I chose to go with Cleveland.  I think the return of Lebron James is huge for this team.  Picking up Kevin Love, Shawn Marion, Mike Miller, James Jones and possibly Ray Allen, is going to be huge for the Cavs to add to Kyrie Irving, Dion Waiters and Tristan Thompson.  Cleveland has a huge shot at winning the title in 2014-2015.  

2)  Chicago-  I would have put Chicago at 1, but I don't know how Derrick Rose will be.  I hope he is back and completely fully healthy.  It was making me sad to not see him play much the last couple of seasons.  I loved the pickup of Pau Gasol to add to the power forward and center, which has Joakim Noah and Taj Gibson.  Doug McDermott was an interesting draft choice, another shooter out on the court to come in off the bench. McDermott can score.  I think the Bulls should try and go for Ray Allen, because Allen can create his own shot.  Aaron Brooks is a nice pickup for insurance in case D-Rose were to go down again.  Aaron Brooks was once a starter in Houston and a good one, before being traded to Phoenix Suns and put on the back burner.  The Bulls are another team with a great shot at the title.   The health of point guard D-Rose will be the key.

3) Detroit-  I love the pickup of veterans Caron Butler, Jodie Meeks and DJ Augustin.   How well will Drummond be?  Will Greg Monroe stay after this season?  It sure took a while for the Pistons to resign Monroe.   I think the Pistons will be better than last year, and maybe possibly push for that 8th playoff spot. 

4) Milwaukee-  I almost was going to go with Indiana here, but Jabari Parker will possibly win rookie of the year.  I actually think Jabari will help this team be better than last year.  I'm going to predict that Jabari will average 17 points per game, 6 rebounds per game and 3 assists per game.  How well will Giannis Antetokounmpo better known as "The Greek Freak" will be.   Do you think Milwaukee will be better than last year?

5) Indiana-  I know people are like what Indiana last?  Losing Lance Stephenson to the Charlotte Hornets, and Paul George going down on injury,  the load will be taken on by Roy Hibbert and David West. The second half of last year Roy Hibbert was awful.  Hibbert is going to have to be better so that the Pacers will not finish last.  If the Pacers were to finish terrible though, would drafting a point guard in the top 5 of the 2015 NBA Draft, be all that bad?  

Overall choosing between the Cavs and the Bulls of who will finish first was difficult.  Choosing between Milwaukee and Indiana to finish last was another.  I think the Pistons will finish 3rd.  What are your thoughts on my Central Division Eastern Conference 2014-2015 Predictions?
