Dirk Nowitzki shines again to help Mavericks take a 2-0 lead over the Lakers

Im going to be honest with you. I really didn't think Dallas would take game 2 after winning game 1. It's a good thing I didn't gamble because I would have been wrong. Dirk Nowitzki shines again by scoring 24 points and had 7 rebounds on 9 of 16 shooting to help the Mavericks defeat the Los Angeles Lakers 93-81. I watched part of the third quarter and then the fourth. What was going on with the Los Angeles Lakers? They looked like a team in the fourth quarter who reminded me of myself years ago when I almost had a nervous breakdown. Not only did Dirk score 24 for the Mavs but Shawn Marion added 14 points and 9 rebounds. J.J. Barea scored 12 points off the bench and Jason Kidd added 10 points and 6 assists. For the Los Angeles Lakers Kobe led the team in scoring with 23 points on 9 of 20 shooting. Andrew Bynum added a double double with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Pau Gasol also added a double double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Ron Artest added 11 points and 6 rebounds. With around 23 to 24 seconds left in the game Ron Artest took what looked like to me a cheap shot to correct me if I'm wrong here to point guard J.J. Barea. He got ejected for that which he deserved. I can understand frustration is one thing but to bascially take a cheap shot to an opposing player is not right. The Dallas Mavericks now lead 2-0 and congratulations to them on there victory tonight. As for the Los Angeles Lakers they are going to have to step up there game or else possibly no chance to go to the NBA Finals for the fourth straight year.
