Spurs snap six game losing streak and knock Suns out of playoffs
The San Antonio Spurs sunday afternoon did three things right. One they got a victory snapping there six game skid. Two they increase there lead in the conference to 2 and a half games from the Lakers losing to the Nuggets and three they knocked the Phoenix Suns out of playoff contention. The Spurs beat the Suns 114-97. George Hill off the bench led the Spurs with 29 points, Matt Bonner added 16 off the bench, rookie sensation Gary Neal added 15 off the bench. The starter for the Spurs who led in scoring was Richard Jefferson who had 12 points and a perfect 4 out of 4 from 3 point range. As for the Suns Aaron Brooks and Channing Frye scored 14 points a piece. Jared Dudley and Vince Carter added 12 points a piece. Good win for the Spurs who I feel needed it if they want to keep the one seed in the western conference and have home field through the playoffs. As for the Suns they have to wait next year to be in the playoffs and rely on the NBA Draft to get a good player.
