Andrew Bynum's Double Double Helps the Lakers tie the series at 1-1
Andrew Bynum got a double double tonight by scoring 17 points and grabbing 11 rebounds to help the Los Angeles Lakers beat the New Orleans 87-78 to even the series at 1-1. Lamar Odom sixth man of the year shined off the bench with 16 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Ron Artest scored 15 points and grabbed six rebounds. Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol had an off night and it was good to watch Bynum, Odom and Artest step up for the Lakers. Kobe only scored 11 points on 3 out of 10 shooting and Pau Gasol only scored 8 points and pulled down 5 rebounds on 2 of 10 shooting. As for the New Orleans Hornets ex Laker Trevor Ariza led the way with 22 points and 7 rebounds. Chris Paul added 20 points and 9 assists. Paul shot 5 out of 11 from the field. Carl Landry added 12 points and 7 rebounds. I do feel the Hornets tried hard to take game 2. In the end though the Lakers just played better and with more intensity. Game 3 is at 9:30 Eastern on ESPN Friday Night. Who will go up 2 games to 1 find out Friday Night/ Early Saturday Morning. Thank you for reading my NBA Blog.
