This is day 4 of the 30 Days 30 Grades blog post. I am going to continue to try and talk about each NBA team this month, and what grade I give their off-season. So check out below for the grade I give the Charlotte Hornets, the players that were added either through draft, free agency or trades, the players that were subtracted.
Charlotte Hornets Off-season Grade: A
Players Added: Noah Vonleh, PJ Hairston, Lance Stephenson, Marvin Williams, Brian Roberts
Players Subtracted: Ben Gordon, Josh McRoberts, Anthony Tolliver, Luke Ridnour, Chris Douglas Roberts, Brendan Haywood, Dwight Powell, Scotty Hopson
Why do i give the Hornets an A? I believe picking up Lance Stephenson is huge for this team. Stephenson can score and defend. Adding Stephenson to the backcourt with Kemba is going to make the Hornets exciting to watch this coming season. I like the draft selection of Noah Vonleh in spite they drafted 7 footer Cody Zeller last year. Vonleh can step out and knock down the 3 and is a solid defender. Vonleh in the post with Big Al Jefferson will make the Hornets good at the 4 and the 5 spot. PJ Hairston provides them a scorer off the bench, same story with Marvin Williams. Brian Roberts is added to back up point guard Kemba Walker. While the Hornets lost some pieces to free-agency, they picked up a huge one in Lance Stephenson. So what grade would you give the Charlotte Hornets this off-season? Hornets fans are you excited for this team in the 2014-2015. Send me your thoughts on this. Thank you for reading Pro Basketball Hoops Land. Remember you can buy Charlotte Hornets merchandise on this blog.
