30 Days 30 Grades Day 3: The Brooklyn Nets

This is day 3 of the 30 Days 30 Grades post.  Today I am going to talk about the Brooklyn Nets and what I think about their off-season.   Here below is my grade for this team, the players they added and subtracted, and a little bit of my opinion about their off-season.

Brooklyn Nets Off-Season Team Grade:  D+

Players Added:  Jarrett Jack, Bojan Bogdanovic, Sergey Karasev, Markel Brown and Cory Jefferson

Players Subtracted:  Paul Pierce, Shaun Livingston, Marcus Thornton

Why did I give the Brooklyn Nets a D+?  I believe that they lost some key players in Paul Pierce, Shaun Livingston and Marcus Thornton.  Thornton provides good scoring punch off of the bench.  Livingston impresses me with his size at 6'7" and plays solid defense.  Paul Pierce is a veteran who I just have enjoyed watching since he started with the Boston Celtics.   I really don't know much about the draft picks they selected, and I'm only guessing.  Brown is solid and Cory Jefferson is average, but they are new so we'll see how it pans out for this team.  Jarrett Jack is a solid pickup since losing Shaun Livingston to the Golden State Warriors.  I don't want to knock other teams in this division, but this division is not that great this year with the exception of Toronto. What did you think of the Brooklyn Nets off-season?  What grade would you have given them?  Send me your comments about this or any other post. Thank you for reading Pro Basketball Hoops Land.
