30 Days 30 Grades: Day 11 Western Conference NBA Team The Houston Rockets Off-Season

Welcome to Day 11 of my 30 day blog series titled " 30 Days 30 Grades".  Today we are going to talk about the off-season of Southwest Division Houston Rockets.   Here are the things that I am going to do 1) Give my off-season grade  2) Talk about the players added whether it be through free agency, draft or trade  3) Talk about the players subtracted whether it be losing that player to another team in free agency, traded away or waived,  and finally 4)  I will explain a little bit why I gave the grade that I did.  Feel free to agree or disagree with me by sending me your comments.

Houston Rockets Off-Season Grade:  C

Houston Rockets Players Added:  Clint Capela, Jeff Adrien, Tarick Black, Joey Dorsey, Ish Smith, Alonzo Gee, Trevor Ariza, Scotty Hopson, Sergei Lisihcuk

Houston Rockets Players Subtracted: Chandler Parsons, Jordan Hamilton, Omer Asik, Jeremy Lin, Omri Casspi

Why did I give the Houston Rockets a grade of a C?   I felt like the Rockets were suppose to be building a championship team to put along side Dwight Howard and James Harden.  The only pickups I like from this team are Trevor Ariza and Alonzo Gee.  I admit I don't know enough about the other players yet to make a bunch of comments on them.  I think losing Chandler Parsons and Jeremy Lin was huge.   If they had no plan on resigning Parsons why not take the Celtics deal of last year of Rajon Rondo.  Trevor Ariza had a great showing in the 2009 NBA playoffs.  I do like the fact that Ariza brings defense and three point shooting.  Alonzo Gee I like to have coming off the bench and knocking down the three's.   I just couldn't give this team an A, and I couldn't give them an F, so I felt that a C was the right grade to give this team. Do you agree or disagree with my grade and why?  Send me your comments. Thank you for reading Pro Basketball Hoops Land. I am looking forward to the 2014-2015 NBA season.
