Welcome to Day 12 of my 30 day blog series titled " 30 Days 30 Grades". Today I am going to talk about the off-season of Eastern Conference Indiana Pacers. Here are the four things that I am going to do in this blog, 1) Give my Indiana Pacers off-season grade, 2) Give the players added to the Pacers roster whether it be through the draft, free agency or a trade, 3) Give the list of players subtracted from the Pacers roster whether they were lost from free agency, and finally, 4) I will give the reasons why I gave the Indiana Pacers the grade I did.
Indiana Pacers Off-Season Grade: C
Indiana Pacers Players Added: Shayne Whittington, CJ Miles, Damian Rudez, Rodney Stuckey
Indiana Pacers Players Subtracted: Lance Stephenson
Why did I give the Indiana Pacers a grade of C? I believe that losing Lance Stephenson to the Charlotte Hornets (and I'm still tempted to call them the Bobcats), is a big loss for this team. I can't give this team an A , because their off-season didn't blow me away, and I can't give them an F, because their off-season wasn't that horrible. I do like the pickups of Rodney Stuckey and CJ Miles. Stuckey averaged almost 14 points per game last year for the Detroit Pistons, and shot over 43 percent. Combo guard Rodney Stuckey is going to have to work on improving his three point shooting ,because only shot 27 percent last season with the Pistons. I'm hoping Stuckey can run the point for the Pacers some because, I feel they need help at the point guard spot. CJ Miles is a solid bench player, who had a solid season last year. Miles shot over 43 percent from the field, over 39 percent from three point land, and 85 percent from the free throw line. I think Miles can give the Pacers some scoring off the bench, to add with CJ Watson and Luis Scola. I can't comment about Shayne Whittington or Damian Rudez because I admit I have never heard of those guys. What grade would you give the Indiana Pacers off-season? Send me your comments.
