Durant scores 36: Westbrook has an incredible triple-double to lead Thunder to win over top Western Conference team Golden State Warriors

Injuries have hurt the Oklahoma City Thunder this season with Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook being out a lot of games.  Last night the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated top Western Conference NBA Team Golden State Warriors 127-115. Kevin Durant lead the way for the Thunder with 36 points and 9 rebounds. Serge Ibaka scored 27 points and 8 rebounds. Dion Waiters scored 21 points off the bench.  Russell Westbrook was the most impressive of the night though. Westbrook had a triple-double where he at least had 15 points, 15 assists and 15 rebounds. Westbrook scored 17 points, 17 assists and 15 rebounds.  There was one play in this game where Westbrook was going up for a dunk and it was called the best missed dunk.  It bounced off the top of the rim.  Here are the top double-digit scorers for each team.

Thunder double-digit scorers

Kevin Durant- 36 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 14/18 FG, 5/5 FT, 3/5 3PTFG,
Serge Ibaka- 27 points, 8 rebounds, 12/18 FG, 2/3 FT, 1/2 3PTFG
Dion Waiters- 21 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 assists, 8/16 FG, 3/3 FT, 2/2 3PTFG
Russell Westbrook- 17 points, 17 assists, 15 rebounds, 4 steals, 7/19 FG, 2/4 FT, 1/4 3PTFG
Anthony Morrow- 12 points, 3 rebounds, 5/7 FG, 2/3 3PTFG

Warriors double-digit scorers

Klay Thompson - 32 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 rebounds, 12/22 FG, 5/8 FT, 3/6 3PTFG
Marresse Speights- 20 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 9/16 FG, 2/2 FT
Stephen Curry- 19 points, 6 assists, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, 6/13 FG, 6/6 FT, 2/6 3PTFG
Harrison Barnes- 18 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 6/13 FG, 4/7 3PTFG, 2/2 FT

The Oklahoma City Thunder are 19-20, and currently are 10th in the Western Conference.  They are trailing the Phoenix Suns by 3 1/2 games for the 8th seed in the Western Conference.  Do you think the Thunder will catch the Suns?  I do as long as Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook are healthy.  There has been talk of the Thunder trying to acquire Brook Lopez from the Brooklyn Nets. If they do that,  I think it will make the Thunder even nastier.  Lopez can dominate in the post.  I feel that adding Brook Lopez if he can remain healthy would make the Thunder more of a contender.  They lack a consistent scoring center. Brook Lopez can give them that.  What are your thoughts on this win? Send me your comments. Thank you for reading Pro Basketball Hoops Land.
