Top Ten NBA teams with the most salary cap to chase free agents

Free Agency started July 1st.  There are ten teams who have at least 15 million dollars or more to go after free agents.  Here is the list of top ten teams and roughly how much money they have to chase free agents.

  1. Miami Heat- $55Million
  2. Phoenix Suns- $35 Million
  3. Philadelphia 76ers- $30 Million
  4. Utah Jazz- $30 Million
  5. Orlando Magic- $28 Million
  6. Dallas Mavericks- $26 Million
  7. Charlotte Hornets- $23 Million
  8. Detroit Pistons - $23 Million
  9. Los Angeles Lakers- $22 Million
  10. Atlanta Hawks- 15 Million

Should all of these teams spend all of their caps to pursue big name free agents?  I think if they want to improve their team they should.  If you want to stink it up, or I'll quote Bill Simmons and say "sandbagging"  then don't get anything, or get terrible cheap players.  What team should sign what free agents?   Should Miami only sign two of the big three and then go after some cheaper decent players?  What could Phoenix add to their core and hopefully get into the playoffs after coming so close this last season?  Should the 76ers play the sandbagging method for one more season before chasing free agents.   Who could you add to put around Dirk Nowitzki of the Dallas Mavericks?   Should the Lakers try for Melo, Lebron, Bosh, or maybe bring back Trevor Ariza would be another option.  So many questions about free agency.  Send me your thoughts on this.
