2014 NBA Draft: Philadelphia 76ers 3rd and 10th pick: Top 3 players for each pick in the 1st round to target

Thursday June 26th 2014, the Philadelphia 76ers have two picks 3rd and 10th pick in the 2014 NBA Draft.  I believe that with the 3rd pick and the 10th pick, there are three picks for each of those picks to target. 


Three Players to target with the 3rd pick


1)  Jabari Parker-  It's hard to not talk about Jabari.  I think he will be the closest thing to a franchising changing player in this draft.  He can play either forward position, but I think he's better at the small forward spot.  My only knock on Jabari is defense, but I feel he will learn and improve on that end.  I'm even going to go out on a limb and say that Jabari will win the 2014 rookie of the year, if drafted by the Sixers.   I don't claim to be a basketball expert, I just love to share my thoughts. 



2) Andrew Wiggins-  If this team doesn't land Jabari, then Wiggins is the second best player with the Sixers more than likely.   I think he will provide some dunk highlights.  I think he's the 2nd best player in this draft.  I would say Joel Embiid would be the best behind Jabari,  I just don't know about his injuries.   Wiggins to me won't be as much of a star as Jabari.  I could be wrong though.  


3) Noah Vonleh-  I believe if Parker and Wiggins are gone,  the 76ers should take Noah Vonleh.  Vonleh will put in the work to improve his game.  The 76ers would be smart to select Vonleh if Parker and Wiggins are off the board with the 3rd pick.   Having Vonleh and Noel in the post could be exciting.  I have no idea what Nerlens Noel will do though.  What are your thoughts on my top 3 targets for the 3rd pick.





Top 3 players to target with the 10th pick:




1) Nik Stauskas-  The 76ers need a shooting guard.  I think Stauskas would be incredible to take with the 10th pick, because he can shoot the long ball and stretch opposing opponents defenses.  He's also a solid ball handler which would be helpful to this team.  At 6 foot 6, their would be two six foot six guards on the court at the same time, if Michael Carter Williams and Stauskas were out on the guard.  It would be entertaining to see the size of the Sixers on the court.   What are your thoughts on this pick?




2) Zach LaVine-  This combo guard out of UCLA, could be intriguing for the Sixers.  Could LaVine and MCW be on the court at the same time.  If LaVine runs the point, he could be quick and speedy like Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook.   Another 6'6 guard to add size to the floor for the Sixers.  LaVine is oozing with athleticism.  If the Sixers were to select Wiggins with the 3rd pick, and then take LaVine with the 10th,  I get the feeling their will be some dunk highlights, once LaVine and Wiggins develop.  How would you feel if the Sixers select LaVine?




3) Aaron Gordon-  I'm not sure if he'll be on the board with the 10th pick.  The 76ers would have a high character athletic guy with picking Gordon.  Has good defense and incredible intangibles.  Could have a hustle player who reminds me of Denver Nuggets power forward Kenneth Faried.  What do you think if the Philadelphia 76ers selected Arizona power forward Aaron Gordon.
