High powered offense leads Trailblazers to 6th win in a row
The Portland Trailblazers are off to a hot 8-2 start. Sophomore point guard Damian Lillard, and all-star power forward LaMarcus Aldridge scored 25 points each to lead Trailblazers to a 118-110 win over the Toronto Raptors. The Trailblazers have won six games in a row with this victory. Aldridge not only scored 25 points, he added 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Lillard added 8 assists and 5 rebounds to his 25 points. Nicolas Batum added 24 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks. Batum shot 5 of 8 from downtown. Two guard Wesley Matthews scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Mo Williams added 13 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds off the bench. For the Toronto Raptors, athletic small forward Rudy Gay lead with a double-double. Gay had 30 points and 10 rebounds. DeMar DeRozan scored 29 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Big man Jonas Valanciunas added 19 points and 9 rebounds. Kyle Lowry had a double-double with 10 points and 10 assists. The Raptors have dropped to 4-7. Could the Raptors be tanking to try and land Kansas potential number one draft pick Andrew Wiggins? Thank you for reading Pro Basketball Hoops Land.
