Dirk and Ellis scored 19 points a piece to help Mavs defeat Wizards

The Dallas Mavericks are a fun and exciting team to watch. Granted not as much fun as the year they won the NBA championship. They did make some decent moves during the off season. Last night one of those free agent signings (Monta Ellis) and Dirk scored 19 points each to help the Dallas Mavericks defeat the Washington Wizards 105-95. Dirk also pulled down 8 rebounds to go with the 19 points. Nowitzki last night moved into 16th place on the all time scoring list passing Jerry West. Ellis had 7 assists and 4 rebounds to go along with the 19 points. Incredible dunker Vince Carter scored 16 points, 3 assists, and 3 rebounds off the bench. Big man center Samuel Dalembert added 15 points and pulled down 5 rebounds. For the 2-5 Washington Wizards Trevor Ariza lead the way with 27 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals. Ariza shot 10 of 17 from the field and 5 of 11 from the three point line. Nene scored 14 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. John Wall achieved a double-double with 14 points and 10 assists. Wall also had 5 rebounds. Center Marcin Gortat also had a double-double with 12 points, 12 rebounds, and had 4 blocks. The Washington Wizards just haven't gotten off to a good start. I give them time though. I think they will bounce back. Thank you for reading Pro Basketball Hoops Land. What did you think about this game?
