Top Five Early Predictions for 2013-2014 Rookie of the year
To me their really is only five possible candidates for the 2013-2014. The reason their is only that many candidates is because these are the five rookies starting for their teams. Here is the list.................................................................................1) Otto Porter Jr- He was drafted third by the Washington Wizards. This small forward out of the University of Georgetown will be the starter for the Wizards at the 3 spot. To find out who is starting for their teams you can find it at ESPN.com Otto Porter will have many opportunities to try and score many baskets. The Georgetown Small Forward will be playing alongside point guard John Wall. So will Porter win rookie of the year? Who knows. But Otto has a good shot at it.
.................................................................................
2)Cody Zeller- This 7 footer drafted out of the college of Indiana can play the power forward or the center position. If Zeller can put up 12 points and 8 rebounds then I would consider that a success. Cody drafted by the Charlotte Bobcats will get to play in the position alongside Al Jefferson. While I don't believe Cody Zeller will win rookie of the year he has a shot being the starting power forward.
..................................................................................
3)Ben McLemore- McLemore was possibly projected to go first overall in the 2013 NBA Draft. The six foot five shooting guard out of the university of Kansas was drafted 7th by the Sacramento Kings. Ben McLemore will have opportunities to score for the Kings. Ben can score. I predict that of these five players that are going to be listed McLemore will win the 2014 rookie of the year.
..................................................................................
4) Trey Burke- This ninth pick originally was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves and traded to the Utah Jazz on draft night. Burke the 6 foot 1 point guard drafted out of Michigan will have many chances to score and dish out assists. I think that if McLemore doesn't win rookie of the year then Burke will. Trey will drop many three point shots for the Jazz. I'm going to predict that Trey Burke will average 14 points and 7 assists in his rookie season.
...................................................................................
5) Michael Carter Williams- Drafted 11th overall by the Philadelphia 76ers this oversized point guard will be startint at the 1 spot for the sixers. Carter- Williams was drafted out of Syracuse. Michael Carter- Williams is six foot six feet tall. I felt he is the least likely of the five listed to win rookie of the year. He does have a shot though because he is a starter...................................
.....................................................................................
So in conclusion Who will win rookie of the year? As of right now it's not known because the season hasn't started yet, and who will play? and who will suffer from injuries? So what do think about all of this? Who would be your candidate for rookie of the year? As of right now I'm predicting Ben McLemore to win it. Thank you for reading Pro Ballin Stuff.
