Spurs take game 5 at home blowing out the Thunder: Coach Pop makes a great lineup adjustment

What did you think of game 5 last night between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs?  I thought that what Spurs coach Gregg Popovich did was genius inserting Matt Bonner into the starting lineup.  By putting Bonner into the game it spaces the floor, and makes Serge Ibaka or Kendrick Perkins have to go out to the three point line.  After Bonner wasn't successful, bringing into Boris Diaw as an anchor off the bench was incredibly smart.  I think for game 6 coach Pop should stick with this strategy. The San Antonio Spurs blow out the Oklahoma City Thunder at home 117-89.  Listed below are the top 5 scorers for each team.

Top 5 San Antonio Spurs Scorers

  1. Tim Duncan- 22 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists, 8/13 FG, 6/7 FT
  2. Manu Ginobili- 19 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds, 7/9 FG, 3/4 3PTFG, 2/2 FT
  3. Kwahi Leonard- 14 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 4/7 FG, 5/5 FT, 1/2 3PTFG
  4. Daniel Green- 14 points, 4 rebounds, 4/9 FG, 4/8 3PTFG, 2/2 FT
  5. Boris Diaw- 13 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 4/7 FG, 3/4 FT, 2/2 3PTFG

Top 5 Oklahoma City Thunder Scorers

  1. Kevin Durant- 25 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 11/21 FG, 2/6 3PTFG, 1/4 FT
  2. Russell Westbrook- 21 points, 7 assists, 4 rebounds, 3 steals, 6/12 FG, 7/9 FT, 2/6 3PTFG
  3. Reggie Jackson- 11 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 5/10 FG, 1/2 3PTFG
  4. Serge Ibaka- 6 points, 2 rebounds, 2 blocks, 2 assists, 3/10 FG
  5. Steven Adams- 6 points, 4 rebounds, 3/4 FG

The Spurs have done incredible so far on their homecourt in San Antonio.  I think seeing five scorers in double figures is huge for San Antonio.  For game 6 if the Spurs can imitate, or at least come close to this performance, then I believe it will be a Miami Heat Vs San Antonio Spurs rematch in the NBA Finals.  What are your thoughts on this series so far?  Send me your comments on this game or any other game.
