Before I tell you what my 2014 NBA Conference Finals Predictions are, I want to update you on what happened in the playoffs so far.
In the Eastern Conference here are the updates
Indiana Pacers won the season series over the Washington Wizards 4-2
Miami Heat defeated Brooklyn Nets in 5 games (4-1)
In the Western Conference here are the updates
San Antonio Spurs won the season series over the Portland Trailblazers 4-1
Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Los Angeles Clippers in 6 games 4-2
Here is the moment you've been waiting for my 2014 Conference Finals Predictions. First I'm going to start with the Eastern Conference. The Indiana Pacers I'm shocked got past the Wizards. The Pacers have been an emotional roller coaster team to watch. One game they show up and play like they want it, the next game the.y play like a bunch of zombies who are in a trance on the basketball court. If you get great production out of Lance Stephenson, Roy Hibbert, and Paul George the Pacers have a shot at beating the Heat. The only Pacers player I have faith in this series is David West. The Miami Heat have a big three of Lebron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. The Pacers are going to have to go at Lebron to have a shot. I think Lebron will dominate in this series. If Dwyane Wade remains healthy then the Pacers are in trouble. I think Chris Bosh will have a huge series. I'm going to say this will be a catfight though. I'm going to say the Heat win the season series 4-3.
Here is my Western Conference take. The Oklahoma City Thunder are in trouble in my opinion, because of the injury to power forward Serge Ibaka. I think Nick Collison is going to need to have a huge impact for the Thunder to even have a chance to win this series. Scott Brooks is going to have to find an answer to stopping Tony Parker. Russell Westbrook is going to have to defend Tony Parker like a man who hasn't eaten for three days, and play with such hunger. Kevin Durant is going to have to get it going early by scoring. If superstar small forward Kevin Durant, and All Star point guard Russell Westbrook can score enough, the Thunder have a chance. The San Antonio Spurs are going to have to play great in this series. I think with Ibaka out, the Spurs have a great shot at winning this series. I'm expecting that Kwahi Leonard will have a huge series on both the offensive and defensive end. Will the Thunder figure out a way to win without Ibaka? I'm looking for the bench of the Spurs to have a huge impact in this series. I'm going to say the San Antonio Spurs will win this series 4-2.
