First Round Western Conference Playoffs Predictions

The Western Conference Playoffs to me are going to be the most trickiest games to judge. Here are my 2014 First Round Western Conference Playoff Predictions, send me your comments about this


1- San Antonio Spurs VS 8- Dallas Mavericks- I think this will be the easiest series in the Western Conference for me to judge. Coach Greg Popovich will use his lineups in an incredible impressive manner. You can throw Tim Duncan and Tiago Splitter at Dirk Nowitzki. I belive Monta Ellis will be key in this series for the Dallas Mavericks. The frontcourt of the Spurs (Tiago Splitter, Tim Duncan and Kwahi Leonard) will be too much for the Mavericks to handle. I see the San Antonio Spurs winning this series 4-1

2- Oklahoma City Thunder VS 7- Memphis Grizzlies- This will be an exciting and enjoyable series to watch. Grizzlies have Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph who can bang down low and grab rebounds. On the perimeter they have Tayshaun Prince and Tony Allen to defend. Point guard Mike Conley out of Ohio State will have to make smart passes in this series. I think what will make the Thunder win this series will be Kevin Durant, Caron Butler and Russell Westbrook. Westbrook will be tough to handle. Russell Westbrook is to me currently the most athletic point guard in the NBA. The Oklahoma City Thunder superstar point guard Westbrook will be too much for the Grizzlies to handle. I can't see Memphis not at least winning a couple of games. I'm going to say the Oklahoma City Thunder win this series 4-2

3- Los Angeles Clippers VS 6- Golden State Warriors- This is the only series in the Western Conference I can see going to 7 games. The athleticism of Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan will be exciting to watch. Lob city in L.A.. Chris Paul the best point guard in the NBA will be huge in this series. My only problem for the Clippers is backup center position. I think late in the fourth quarter the Clippers need to play Glen Big Baby Davis, because DeAndre Jordan can't hit free throws. For the Warriors, I believe that the splash brothers (Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson) are going to hit their shots. Clippers will have to defend them extremly well. Harrison Barnes will be a factor for the Warriors in this series I feel. I see the Los Angeles Clippers pulling out this series barely 4-3. Even if the Warriors lose this series I still feel Marc Jackson should be coach of the Warriors.

4- Houston Rockets VS 5- Portland Trailblazers- I feel that Houston will have too much for the Blazers to handle. You have Dwight Howard at center, then if he gets in foul trouble you could bring in Omer Asik who is a top 20 center in the NBA. James Harden, Chandler Parsons, Dwight Howard and Terrence Jones will be huge in this series against the Trailblazers. The only problems I see for the Rockets would be all star point guard Damian Lillard, Wesley Matthews or Nicolas Batum hitting threes and maybe Robin Lopez. I have no idea what the condition of LaMarcus Aldridge is. I see the Rockets winning the series 4-1.
