Clippers hand Lakers their worst loss in history: All 5 starters scored double figures in the win

Say what you will about the Los Angeles Clippers. They are a top 4 team in the Western Conference. The Clippers are now the team in L.A. Last night was the battle of the two L.A. teams at Staples Center. The Los Angeles Clippers handed the Los Angeles Lakers their worst loss in team history by beating them 142-94. In the 2nd and 3rd Quarter the Clippers outscored the Lakers 80-33. All five starters scored in double figures for the Clippers. Darren Collison lead the way with 24 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Box office and All Star power forward Blake Griffin scored 20 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals and shot 8 of 12 from the field. Griffin has to be a top 3 candidate for MVP this season. Matt Barnes scored 17 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals. DeAndre Jordan scored 14 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists. Chris Paul the best point guard in the NBA, added 13 points, 11 assists, 4 rebounds and 4 steals. Four of the 5 starters for the Clippers achieved double-doubles. I think the Clippers have to be a possible candidate for going to the NBA finals out in the Western Conference. Blake Griffin has taken his game to newer heights. I credit coach Doc Rivers and Blake for that. I also enjoy the lob city in L.A. What did you think of this game for the Clippers? For the Los Angeles Lakers Pau Gasol lead the way with 21 points, 7 rebounds and shot 8 of 15. Xavier Henry scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Kent Bazemore added 14 points, 6 assists and 2 rebounds. What do you think went wrong for the Lakers? Who do you think the Lakers should draft in the 2014 NBA Draft? Send me your thoughts on this game. I encourage you to check out the Kobe Bryant or the Blake Griffin store whichever L.A. team you're a fan of. Thank you for reading Pro Basketball Hoops Land.
