My Western Conference Predictions

Here are the 8 teams in the Western Conference who will be in the playoffs. 1) San Antonio Spurs- Yes Duncan, Ginobili and Parker are aging but they still play with high energy. They added Marco Belinelli a great replacement for Gary Neal. I think their is still some gas in the tank for the Spurs. Kwahi Leonard will play out of his mind this year just like previous years. 2) Oklahoma City Thunder- Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and Serge Ibaka will carry this team. They lost Kevin Martin in free agency to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Jeremy Lamb might get his chance to step up. Thabo Sefolosha is an amazing defender who will start and help this team out. I like them drafting Steven Adams because he is a center who will help them get some scoring in the low post. 3) Los Angeles Clippers- Resigning Chris Paul for five years I feel was great. I also can't wait to see how J.J. Redick and Jared Dudley will be for this team. They added Darren Collison as well. The thing that would help this team more would be if Blake Griffin plays defense then you could talk about Clippers being in the NBA Finals. 4) Golden State Warriors- I know this may be a high seed for the Warriors. I think Stephen Curry will play out of his mind. Curry will be scoring, hitting three's and dishing out assists to Klay Thompson, Harrison Barnes, David Lee and others. I love the pickup of Andre Iguodala this offseason. Iguodala will improve this teams defense. 5) Houston Rockets- Signing Dwight Howard I love. Best center to me in the NBA right now. I can't wait to see Howard, Asik Parsons, Harden and Lin on the court starting. 6) Memphis Grizzlies- Just signed Mike Miller today. I like this teams starting five of Marc Gasol, Zach Randolph, Tayshaun Prince, Tony Allen and Michael Conley. Their bench isn't too bad either with Jerryd Bayless, Quincy Pondexter, Ed Davis and Mike Miller. Grizzlies could make some big noise this year in the playoffs. 7) Denver Nuggets- While they lost Andre Iguodala I love them picking up little Nate Robinson. Nate is a high energy player. Nate does like to try and score. You have to give Nate Robinson a little credit though he fires up his team. He did great for the Bulls last year and filling in for Derrick Rose. I also like them having Kenneth Faried. Faried is very athletic and has a ton of energy. Javale McGee is very interesting to watch as well. McGee does end up doing some crazy stuff but no NBA player is perfect. 8) I'm torn here on this one but I'm going to go with the Minnesota Timberwolves- I think they will make the playoffs for the first time since 2004. They added Kevin Martin this offseason. I like that pickup for them. I also like the drafting of Shabazz Muhammed. If Love and Rubio can remain healthy they will be in the playoff or come close to getting it. 9) Teams that will come close but not quite get there are Dallas, L.A. Lakers and New Orleans.
