Interesting NBA Signings this week
I've already talked about Kevin Martin going to the Timberwolves this week. There are some other signings that are interesting to me that happened. 1) J.R. Smith the sixth man of the year in the 2012-2013 Season resigned a 4 year deal with the Knicks worth almost 25 million dollars. 2) Al Jefferson went from Utah Jazz to now signing a three year 40.5 million dollar deal with the second worst NBA team last season the Charlotte Bobcats. This signing is great for the Bobcats because it finally gives them some low post scoring they so desperately need. 3) New Orleans Pelicans did a sign and trade with the Sacramento Kings to get Tyreke Evans. The trade went PG Grevis Vasquez going to the Kings, Robin Lopez going to the Portland Trailblazers and the Pelicans receiving two second round picks from the Trailblazers. Evans contract is for 4 years for 44 million. I think that price is a little bit high for Evans but hopefully maybe with the Pelicans having Jrue Holiday, Eric Gordon and Anthony Davis Tyreke will step up his game and provide more scoring to the Pelicans. 4) Tiago Splitter resigns with the Spurs for 4 years for 36 million dollars. 5) Earl Clark is supposely to sign a two year deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers worth 9 million. This source you can find at http://www.nba.com/2013/news/07/04/cavaliers-clark-agree.ap/index.html?ls=iref:nbahpts What do you think of that signing? I think the Lakers are losing out. Earl Clark to me last year was the Savior the first half of the season for the Los Angeles Lakers last season. Clevleand is going to get a great deal and can provide some more depth off the bench for the Cavs . I'm pretty sure the starting five for Cleveland will be C- Varejao PF- Thompson SF- Bennett SG- Waiters and PG- Irving. So send me your comments on all of these deals this week and let me know what you think. Thank you for reading my NBA Blog.
