2012-2013 potential rookie of the year Damian Lillard leads Traiblazers to victory over the Knicks
Wow what can I say about Damian Lillard. Lillard to me is hands down the rookie of the year for the 2012-2013 season. Last night against the New York Knicks Lillard put on a show scoring 26 points and 10 assists on 11 out of 18 shooting. Lillard not only stepped up but so did other Portland Trailblazer teammates who defeating the New York Knicks 105-90. LaMarcus Aldridge scored a double double as well with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Aldridge also added 5 blocks. Nicolas Batum scored 16 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds. Wesley Matthews added 14 points and had 5 rebounds. J.J. Hickson added a double double with 12 points and 16 rebounds.
The New York Knicks started off 18-5 in the season and was playing great team ball. They started the season with great chemistry and now I ask the question to the New York Knicks Where's The Chemistry? I know the Knicks have had a lot of injuries with Carmelo Anthony, Amare Stoudemire and now Tyson Chandler. I think its going to be J.R. Smith who is going to have to be the leader for this team. Smith in the fourth almost brought back the Knicks unless they fell apart in the end. J.R. Smith scored 33 points on 11 of 21 shooting from the field. Kenyon Martin added 12 points and 4 rebounds on 6 of 10 shooting. After the 18-5 start the Knicks have gone 20-20 since. I do hope the Knicks can put it together and play team ball like they did earlier in the season. I thank you for reading my NBA Blog. I encourage you to buy a New York Knicks or a Portland Trailblazers jersey today. So what are you waiting for? I also encourage you to send me your comments.
