Mavericks stun the Lakers barely by taking game 1 96-94

Dallas Mavericks didn't start out great. I believe in basketball though it's not sometimes how you start it's how you finish. Dallas Mavericks proved that tonight when the Los Angeles Lakers were ahead 53-44 at halftime. The second half though the Dallas Mavericks outscored the Los Angeles Lakers 52-41. The fourth quarter was the Mavs best quarter outscoring the Lakers 25-16. Dirk Nowitzki my favorite power forward in the NBA led with 28 points and 14 rebounds on 11 of 22 from the field. Jason Terry an awesome sixth man added 15 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds. Tyson Chandler scored 11 points and pulled down 9 rebounds. Both Shawn Marion and Peja Stojakovic scored 10 points each. One other stat for Dallas I feel is worth mentioning is Jason Kidd while only scored 7 points and had 5 rebounds he added 11 assists. For the Los Angeles Lakers Kobe Bryant led with 36 points, 5 rebounds on 14 of 29 shooting from the field. Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom both added double doubles. Lamar Odom added 15 points and 12 rebounds while Pau Gasol scored 15 points and had 11 rebounds. Congratulations to the Dallas Mavericks for taking game 1 from the L.A. Lakers. I will be honest I want someone different than the Lakers from the west going to the NBA Finals this year. I'm hoping to see a Bulls VS Mavericks matchup.
