My breakdown on some of the trades

Here is my breakdown on some of the trades over the past week

Trade 1-  Carmelo Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Anthony Carter, Sheldon Williams, and Reynaldo Balkman from Denver to New York for Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Timofey Mozgov, 2014 1st rounder, 2012 and 2013 2nd rounder.

What I like about this trade for New York:    New York gets a couple of stars in Melo and Billups.  Billups I feel could be a big key for New York going deep in the playoffs this year.  Melo is a 25.0 PPG (Points Per Game) scorer which gives a great second scorer to play along side Amare.

What I like about this trades for Denver-  The Melo drama is over and Denver gets some young pieces back in Gallinari and Chandler a 1st rounder in 2014 draft which could possibly be a strong draft.  So Denver is rebuilding nicely

Trade 2-   Boston trades Kendrick Perkins and Nate Robinson to Oklahoma City for Jeff Green and Nenad Krstic plus a 1st rounder

What I like about this trade for Boston:  There only two things I like about this and is they get a versatile player in Jeff Green who could come in for Pierce or Garnett and maybe a young piece in the future to possibly build around.

What I hate about this trade for Boston: You give up Kendrick Perkins who to me is a big key in the finals and playoffs.  I will miss Perkins in Boston but Oklahoma City gets a player now who can stop Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum.

Trade 3-  Los Angeles Clippers trades Baron Davis and a 1st rounder to Cleveland for Mo Williams and Jamario Moon

What I like about this trade for L.A. Clippers-  absolutely nothing.

What I hate about this trade for L.A. Clippers-   the Clippers basically gave up a good player to play along side Blake Griffin and a 1st rounder which could be in the top ten. Jamario Moon was not worth getting to give up a top ten pick in the draft.   Cleveland got the better end of this trade and now has B-Davis and possibly two top ten players in this coming draft.
